This is where I was today, at the National Library in Edinburgh – I was there to scare the living daylights out of the pupils of Gourock Primary School with spooky readings from Shiver (Floris Books), haunting cries and howling winds (and that was just me). Afterwards, we even had time to tour the Jacobites exhibition and play about with the quill pens – just as Catherine Morton would have done when she wrote her journal in 1708 (before she became a ghost!)
I should add that the haunting cries were not supplied by me personally, but were noises imported onto my PowerPoint with my own marvellous technology skills!!!, just in case anyone was confused about that. I also talked to them briefly about DARKER ENDS coming out in November. (Fledgling Press)
The pupils look happy – and they were very lovely!
